JOB SUMMARY<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

The Department of Chinese at National Taiwan Normal University invites applicants for a full-time faculty member beginning in Spring, 2023. We seek applicants who have completed, or are currently working toward, a Ph.D. in \u201cPhilosophy & Linguistics\u201d and \u201cLiterature & Applying\u201d, and are capable of EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction).<\/p>\n

SPECIALITIES<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

The position will involve teaching courses in the areas of:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \u201cPhilosophy & Linguistics\u201d: Teaching courses in fluent English for Readings in Classical\u00a0Chinese Philosophy, Introduction to Chinese Linguistics, Selected Readings of Chinese Classics.<\/li>\n
  2. \u201cLiterature & Applying\u201d\uff1a Teaching courses in fluent English for Selected Readings on English Literature, Introduction to Cultural Studies, Introduction to Contemporary Cultural Studies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. D. degree.<\/li>\n
    2. Applicants who received their highest level of education from National Taiwan Normal University must possess 2 or more years of full time job in research, professional positions, or fields related to their main teaching subject after their graduation from National Taiwan Normal University.<\/li>\n
    3. Fluent English and capable of teaching EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) courses.<\/li>\n
    4. Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:<\/li>\n
    5. Have Published one or more monograph in the past three years. Please provide the reviewer comments and proof of publication.<\/li>\n
    6. Have published or been listed as the first author or corresponding author for two academic papers in journal listed in Social Science Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Taiwan Social Sciences Citation Index, or Taiwan Humanities Citation(originally Taiwan Humanities Citation Index Core) within the past three years.<\/li>\n
    7. Have served as the principal investigator in at least two Ministry of Science and Technology research grante in the past three years.<\/li>\n
    8. Have extensive practical experience in the field and reviewable and concrete achievements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      2. Resume or CV and application form with proof of teaching-related employments, past and present, if any.<\/li>\n
      3. A list of publications and research grants within the last three years(2019.06.23~2022.06.24).       4. Original or Offprint of Academic Publication, Monograph, or Research.<\/li>\n
      5. A personal statement describing Teaching background, Research interests, or Service to the Department, College, University, and\/or professional community. Please provide documents of teaching experience(e.g. contracts, syllabus)<\/li>\n
      6. Teacher Certificate, if any.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Application Deadline and regulation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

        1. All application materials must be received by Department of Chinese no later than August 5, 2022, local time, Taiwan.<\/li>\n
        2. This recruitment shall be handled in accordance with the relevant regulations of the university and the department.<\/li>\n
        3. If the applicant would like to have application materials back, he\/she should pick up materials in person(or by designated express delivery) from the Department of Chinese, NTNU within one month after receiving the notice.<\/li>\n
        4. In accordance with the National Taiwan University Faculty Evaluation Regulations, full-time faculty appointed after August 1, 2011, shall undergo the evaluation for newly appointed faculty.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
