| Abstract |
Tsung-Mi’s criticism of Confucianism and Taoism is related with Taoism of Han Dynasty’s theory of “Vigor”, so most of scholars think Taoism’s theory of “Vigor” must accept the responsibility for Tsung-Mi’s criticism. However, is this conclusion fair and reasonable to Taoism’s theory of “Vigor”? In this essay, according to the analysis of Tsung-Mi’s “Yuan-ren-lun”, the author want to check is Tsung-Mi’s criticism and understanding of Taoism’s theory of “Vigor” reasonable or not? Besides, could the Taoism’ theory confer with Buddhism’ theory on the problems of “Fate”, ” Nature”, “Epistmology” and ” Ghost and God”? What conceptions would Taoism respond the questions of Tsung-Mi? Last of all, on the basis of this analysis,the author want to explain why the thought combining three religions of Tsung-Mi has inevitable problem.
