| Abstract |
This article is intended to research on many social phenomena reflected from those folk songs and variety ballads in 《The Collection of Songs and Poems》(樂府詩集), which can outline various levels of society before Song Dynasty. This article is consisted of three parts. In the preface, I will discuss the nomenclature of folk songs and variety ballads, and I will analyze those issues from the aspects of their musical features, the authors, and the contents. Secondly, I will discuss their sentence structures. In the main body of this article, I will review the social phenomena reflected from those ballads and songs. At the ending, I state that folk songs and ballads are different from literary poems and verses. |
