| Abstract |
The purpose of this thesis is to survey the most lmportant conferencc on thc study of classics in Western Han Dynasty. Emperor Hsuan assembled scholars ln Shiqu Chamber and asked them to comment on the similarities and diffcrences between The Five Classics （The Book of Changes, The Book of Odes, The Book of History, The Book of Rites, and The Spring and Autumn Annals ）, and then he collected their commentaries into a book called Shiqu tongyi. However, since most of the documents of the conference are lost, I would therefore, in terms of scanning, try to analyze and reveal the concealing historical reality with those available data which are related to the book. In addition，I shall also interpret thc special features and spirit of the conference in this thesis. |
