Abstract Wei Chuang(836-910), one of the well-known Tz’u-poets of Late-Tarng, is rival each other in reputation with Wen T’ing-Yun. Although only fifty-four Tz’u-poems published, he plays an important role in Chinese literary history. He expressed his deep emotions by using sketch technique and established the liberal and outspoken style of Tz’u-poems. “Five Serial Pusaman Tz’us”, written in his old age in Shu, reflected his whole life. In content, these Tz’u-poems cannot be separated because of the same theme for wishing returning-home; in material, objects and events are well-arranged to present author’s feelings; in structure, they are primary in deductive method to lay bare his thought straight. Furthermore, these Tz’u-poems mix different methods in structure to extend diverse aesthetic. These “Five Serial Pusaman Tz’u-poems” are therefore the most important works of Wei Chuang.
