Abstract	Takezoe Koukou in his work Maoshi Huijian shows a lot of insightful explanation of words in the Shijing. Through the discussion of five examples: “shenzeli”, “naijian kuangju”, “liuyue qiqi”, “youtu sishou”, “sanxing zailiu” , the present paper illustrates how Takezoe Koukou interprets the meaning of words and how this is related to the views of the Chinese scholars.
