Abstract This paper will firstly discuss about the oral history of The Lost Martial Artswritten by Xu Hao Feng to acquire another type of thoughts of writings in martial arts, and at the same time seeding the hardcore martial arts novels of the new generation through the martial arts discipline and self-experienced anecdotes in the world of martial arts based on the main character - Li Zhong Xuan. Beside acting as the prototype for “the world of martial arts in the early republican” constructed by Xu Hao Feng, this book also acts as a full featured device for thoughts of martial arts and relevant narrative structures. Setting Tianjin in 1930s as the background, Xu Hao Feng’smartial arts novels (The Quit of a Taoist Priest, VairocanaMandala, The Samurai Organization) aimed to restore a lost world of martial arts with full of realism throughout the life stories of characters, the academics of Chinese boxing, and the formation of weapons stacked with traceable historical data, whereby having himself labeled as the pioneer writer for hardcore martial arts novels of the new generation with “real deals inside”.
