Abstract |
“Xian Qing Qu Ju” of Li Yu is one of the most important aesthetic works in the late Ming Dynasty. It reflects the transformation of leisure among scholars in the Ming and Ching Dynasty. Vast previous research explored the aesthetic meaning of Li Yu; however, little research investigated the plant world. Actually, the section of plant of “Xian Qing Qu Ju” forms an aesthetic world and proposes some plant evaluation methods and approaches, and further represents the deep consideration of life and ethics. The author believes that Li Yu pursued not only the aesthetic sense but also an ideal of good to feature the plant perspective. Therefore, the plant perspective reflects value of the understandable aesthetic and traditional ethics.
